How it works

UniGuide CORE has a hollow titanium body that can accommodate a Braun Omnifix 3 mL syringe (length-compatible), but is also compatible with most other 3 mL syringes and some 2–2.5 mL syringes. The device features a hand piece for improved operator control and a top rail guide, in which an endoscope up to 5 mm in diameter can be loosely inserted and supported. Pressure applied with the index finger allows controlled manipulation of the endoscope.

Insert a 2-3mL syringe - or a suction hose - into the body of the UniGuide CORE. For best control of endoscope, the syringe luer lock should be flush with the distal opening of CORE.

Attach an appropriate instrument to the syringe. Make sure the flanges of the syringe are not interfering with the endoscope.

Align the flexible endoscope on the side of the assembly, and gently slide it into the rail-guide, by guiding it with your index finger.

With the endoscope in the rail guide, you may control the distance and roll by selectively applying pressure with your index finger, in conjunction with control of the endoscope with your other hand.
